BRIGHT EYES CALENDAR — PRIVACY POLICY

Bright Eyes Calendar ("Bright Eyes", "we", "us") is a family scheduling
app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep
it short because we collect as little as possible.


WHAT WE COLLECT

- Account info: your email address and a password (stored securely by our
  backend provider, Supabase). We use this only to sign you in and keep your
  data in sync across your family's devices.

- Family calendar data you create: family member names, events, reminders,
  birthdays, locations, prep checklists, and your in-app preferences. This is
  stored so your family can share one calendar.

We do NOT collect your contacts, photos, precise device location, or browsing
activity. We do NOT use third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we
never sell your data.


HOW YOUR DATA IS USED BY FEATURES

- AI Assistant & suggestions: when you use the assistant or activity
  suggestions, the text you send and the relevant schedule details needed to
  answer are sent to our AI provider (Groq) to generate a reply. Only what's
  needed for that request is sent — never your whole account.

- Voice input: if you use the microphone in the assistant, the audio you
  record is sent to our AI provider to convert it to text, then discarded.

- Location: when you open a place in Google Maps from the location field,
  that address is sent to Google Maps to show the location.

- Public holidays: holiday dates are fetched from the public date.nager.at
  service based on the country you choose.

These providers process the request to return a result and are not used to
advertise to you.


STORAGE & SECURITY

Your data is stored with Supabase (our backend) and protected so that only
members of your family can read it. Data is transmitted over encrypted
connections (HTTPS).


YOUR CHOICES & RIGHTS

- Delete your account: in the app, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
  This permanently deletes your account and your family's calendar data. This
  cannot be undone.

- Access or correct data: you can view and edit your data anytime in the app.


CHILDREN

Bright Eyes is designed for parents to manage a family schedule. Children's
names may appear as calendar entries created by a parent; children do not
create accounts.


CHANGES

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and note significant
changes in the app.
